Winner of the first national title in Tormans Cyclo Cross Team history last year at Hittnau, Switzerland’s Kévin Kuhn has extended the privilege of wearing the red jersey for another year thanks to his success at Steinmaur. In the freezing cold, Kuhn dominated the race against the same competitors who accompanied him to the podium last year, namely Lars Forster and Timon Rüegg. The 23-year-old won almost a minute ahead of his runner-up to secure what was his second victory of the season on Swiss soil.
"My yellow and blue jersey looked good on me today, but of course I'm delighted to leave tomorrow with the precious Swiss champion's jersey! I managed to renew my title without too much trouble. During the recon, I understood that this course was going to reward a strong rider. Due to the weather conditions, the mud had solidified and it was difficult to pass through. I got off to a good start and found that the other favorites weren't directly in pursuit. So I opted for a fast pace to outrun them as quickly as possible and finish the rest of the race at my own pace. I want to thank the team for the support here at Steinmaur! "
