« After the cancelation of several races, it is not very clear yet what the race calendar will look like. Each year, I want to confirm. And also this season I want to show the Tormans Cyclo Cross Team jersey on the highest step of the podium as often as possible. »
« Since the creation of the AA Drink-Kalas team, almost a decade ago, I can count on the confidence of Geert Wellens and his teams. I'm happy to have the opportunity to let shine the colors of Tormans Cyclo Cross Team and as well participate at the development of the young girls within Tormans-Acrog Balen BC. I want to thank the team and the Wellens brothers for this unique opportunity! »
Bart Wellens :
« I know Shana Maes for a long time already and I thought that she was the perfect candidate to complete our effective. With Tormans Cyclo Cross Team, we want to participate at the internationalisation of cyclocross, but thanks to Shana Maes we will also have a nice regional visibility for our partner Tormans. »
« The experience of Shana and my brother Geert in the development of young girls will be of great importance for our future. Together with Tormans-Acrog we created a solid project which will, I'm convinced, bear fruit in the next couple of years. »
« Our riders are part of a long term project without pressure, even if they already demonstrated their capabilities. I hope that, despite the difficult circumstances, all of our riders will have the possibility to prepare the upcoming winter on the road or on the mountainbike before our scheduled training camp at the end of September. In this way, we can start the season well and be ready from the first races! »
